Preparation of the solution: The instrument disinfection beads are diluted with cold water to the desired working concentration. The recommended dosage varies from 1% to 2%, depending on the microbiological efficacy you want to achieve. For example: for 10 litres of a 2% working solution you need 9.8 litres of water and 200 g (300 ml) of Gigasept Pearls.
Stirring and dissolving: After adding the right amount of beads to the water, stir the mixture several times for 15 minutes to completely dissolve the beads. Small undissolved residues will not affect the effectiveness, but act as an activity depot.
Immersion of instruments: Completely immerse the endoscopes and instruments to be treated in the solution. Ensure that no air bubbles remain, especially with hollow instruments, so that all surfaces come into good contact with the solution.
Rinsing: After treatment, rinse the instruments thoroughly with water of at least drinking water quality, preferably deionized water, to completely remove any residues of the working solution.
