Smoke detectors

Smoke detectors

A smoke detector only detects smoke. If too much smoke is measured, the detector will give an alarm. Smoke detectors are not mandatory in the Netherlands, unlike in a number of countries around us, such as England and France. However, new-build homes (from 2003) must be fitted with a smoke detector as standard. In addition to smoke detectors, we also offer carbon monoxide detectors and heat detectors

From 1 July 2022, a smoke detector is mandatory in every home. This obligation has existed for new-build homes since 2003, but the new legislation states that a smoke detector must also be installed on every floor in existing homes.
